Home Remedies and Natural Wisdom for the Nigerian Family
The 5:15am alarm is counting its final mornings. Your child's dry nights start now.
Midnight alarms don't train the bladder. Cutting fluids just adds thirst to shame. Herbal mixtures from the market touch nothing that matters. "They'll outgrow it" is not a timeline. You just chose the 7-step method passed down through a grandmother who raised 6 children and 14 grandchildren without a single bedwetter past age 5.
21 days. Natural ingredients from your kitchen. The bed stays dry. The 5:15am alarm gets deleted.
🌿 "My child is not broken. Their bladder and brain need to learn to communicate during sleep. The body doesn't need medicine. It needs training. 21 days of food, routine, and patience. Then I walk into the room. Press my hand on the sheet. Dry."

Start here before the main method. Open the Nighttime Feeding Guide and check the list of 12 foods that increase overnight urine production. Most mothers find 4-5 they serve regularly at dinner. Identifying them tonight means you can make your first swap at tomorrow's dinner. One food swap can reduce overnight bladder pressure before Step 1 even begins.
Before tomorrow's 5:15am alarm goes off, know what to say when you walk in. Page 2: "The Wet Morning Script." The exact words that remove shame and replace it with data. Your child needs to hear these words BEFORE the method shows results, not after. How you respond to wet mornings during the training period determines how your child feels about the process.
Read your child's age section (5-8 or 9-12). Begin with the evening feeding reset at dinner. Then the bladder training exercise after school (5 minutes, feels like a game). Then the natural body preparation 45 minutes before bed. Then the bedtime sequence. The full routine takes 30 minutes the first time and 15 minutes once you know it.
This is critical. Days 1-7 will likely show NO change. The bed will still be wet. You will want to stop at Day 4 or 5. This is where every mother stops. Iya Tinu said: "The bladder didn't learn to misbehave in one day. It won't learn to behave in one day either." The body is adjusting beneath the surface. By Day 8, most mothers notice the wet patch getting smaller. By Day 10-11, the first dry morning. Keep going through the silent days.

Find the food your child ate for dinner tonight. Check if it's on the "12 Foods That Increase Overnight Wetting" list. If it is, you now know ONE thing to swap tomorrow. That single swap, before the full method even begins, can reduce the size of tomorrow morning's wet patch.
Most mothers are shocked to find that 3-4 of their regular dinner foods are on the list. Foods they thought were harmless. Foods they serve every week. The feeding guide alone can reduce wet nights by 1-2 per week before Step 1 takes effect.
"You're not just fighting the water. You're training the body. But first, stop feeding the problem at dinner."

A message from Kemi:
Dear Mummy, I know your mornings. I lived them for 4 years. 1,460 times I walked into my son's room at 5:15am and pressed my hand on a wet sheet. 1,460 loads of laundry before my husband woke up. 1,460 mornings of comforting Tolu while dying inside.
Then Iya Tinu taught me the 7 steps. And on Day 11, I pressed my hand on the sheet and it was dry. I stood there for 3 minutes and cried. Not from exhaustion. From the weight of 4 years lifting off my shoulders in one dry morning.
Start with the feeding guide tonight. Read the morning script before tomorrow's 5:15 alarm. Begin the full method tomorrow evening. And when Day 4 arrives and nothing has changed and you want to quit, hear my voice: the patch gets smaller at Day 8. The first dry morning comes at Day 10-11. Your 5:15am alarm gets deleted at Day 25. Keep going.
The dry morning is coming. And it's closer than you think. 🌿
